This might seem like an ordinary transport box, but this is, in fact, a gift box, containing one of our most precious treasures of the past several years.
Our followers probably remember Malou and Boots, both of whom have been adopted by now, living their best lives in Sweden and the US respectively.
They were siblings, living with their mum and a few other dogs by the old Archeological Museum in Dighomi
We were first informed of their presence by Maurice from Brutal Tours, 3 years ago.
We helped that litter, vaccinated, neutered them and found homes for several of them.
However, it was obvious from the beginning that the problem is not solved until we manage to spay the mum dog, as she kept having pups twice every year.
But the mum is extremely timid and scared, nobody could approach her.
We asked help from the municipality shelter, and they managed to catch and neuter one of the females in the territory, however, even they could not catch the mum.
This has been nagging us for 3 years now, like a riddle that one can not solve. Even though our volunteers tried many times and in many ways to get her into the shelter, no success.
Just a week ago though a lovely expat couple approached us, explaining that they have been feeding this dog for a while and would try to help us capture her.
And what you see in the box is the result of this cooperation! It was not an easy mission, even with using the protective gloves, this feisty little primadonna managed to dish out two bites, but these two absolutely heroic volunteers managed to catch her finally!
Now she is enjoying a private quarter and some calm quiet time at the shelter, and later we will fully vaccinate, neuter and return her to the area where she is cared for by many volunteers and the guards of the museum. … See MoreSee Less
She looks almost the same as Malou❤️ Good News!
So happy to see this! Love those two volunteers! 😉 <3

The CENN summer camps are on again!
We are so excited to be back in Bulachauri, talking with some marvellous students about the street dog situation in Georgia, responsible pet ownership, how to help stray animals and how to play an active part in creating a more compassionate society.
And our dogs enjoyed it even more!
We are grateful for the amazing work the team at CENN does in providing a platform for young people to learn and exchange information about some of the most important issues in their communities and environment.
Looking forward to the next one! … See MoreSee Less
Please come to Kutaisi!
