We are very happy to report that Skipper and Luna, two former Georgian stray pups, safely landed in the US last night.
We are so grateful to SPCA International for making this possible through their Patriot Pets program, because no pups should ever have to be left behind.
Skipper and Luna were street dogs living in Dighomi. Luna was just a tiny pup with no chance to survive on the streets, while Skipper was not accepted by other dogs, had several bites, and also had a deformity on one of her rear legs. They were both rescued by a kind dog lover from the US Embassy. Their rescuer had to leave the country last December, and after months of organizing paperwork, logistics, flights, now finally they can be reunited in the US.
We would also like to thank @ModernDogResort for providing a place for the pups while waiting for their flights and our wonderful flight volunteer, Bruce, for going above and beyond to make sure the pups travel safe.
